SVG converter that never uploads your files
Drop an SVG to export PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF, EPS, TIFF or ICO. Drop a PNG or JPG to trace it into a real vector. Everything runs on your device, from the first path to the final ZIP.

Two directions, two very different jobs
From SVG: rendering
An SVG is a list of drawing instructions. Exporting it to PNG, JPG or WebP means running those instructions at a pixel size you choose, so the result is always exact. Pick the size carefully: once it is pixels, it cannot get sharper.
Export an SVGTo SVG: tracing
Going the other way means guessing the instructions from pixels. The vectorizer reduces colours, finds every region’s outline and fits curves to it. Logos and line art come out clean; photos become thousands of shapes.
See how tracing worksNo upload is the feature
Client logos under NDA, unreleased product icons, a signature you scanned: none of it should sit on a stranger’s server. SVGShift loads once and then does the work locally, using open-source engines (imagetracerjs for tracing, SVGO for optimization, jsPDF for PDFs). You can check: open your browser’s network panel and convert something.
Read the privacy noteQuestions
Is SVGShift really free?
Yes. There are no accounts, watermarks or file limits beyond what your device can handle, because conversion runs in your browser rather than on a paid server.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Every converter, the optimizer and the editors run as JavaScript on your device. The only feature that contacts a server is the optional AI assistant in the SVG viewer, and only when you press its button.
What is the difference between converting to SVG and from SVG?
Converting from SVG (to PNG, JPG, WebP, PDF, ICO) renders the vector at a size you choose and is always exact. Converting to SVG from a PNG or JPG is vectorization: the pixels are traced into shapes, which works best on logos and flat artwork.
Which converter should I use for a logo?
If you only have a PNG or JPG of the logo, use PNG to SVG or JPG to SVG with the Logo preset. If you already have the SVG and need an image for a slide or social profile, use SVG to PNG at 2× the display size.
