Traced, not embedded
Many “PNG to SVG” sites just base64-encode your PNG inside an <image> element. The file ends in .svg but it is still pixels: it blurs when you scale it and you cannot recolour it. SVGShift traces the outlines of each colour region into Bézier paths, so the result scales to any size and opens as editable shapes in Figma, Illustrator or Inkscape.
Getting a clean result
Use the largest PNG you have: tracing at 1000 px or more gives smoother curves. For a one-colour logo or signature switch to Black & white and move the threshold until thin strokes survive. For flat illustrations, set the colour count to the number of colours you can actually see, plus one or two for anti-aliased edges. Raise “Ignore specks” to drop stray dots.
