How to use the SVG to JPG tool

  1. Drop or paste an SVG.

  2. Pick the width, background colour (white by default) and JPEG quality.

  3. Download the .jpg.

When to choose JPG over PNG

JPG is the safe choice for email attachments, older CMSs, marketplaces and anywhere that rejects SVG and PNG transparency is not needed. For flat logos a PNG is usually smaller and sharper; JPG wins when the SVG contains gradients or embedded photos.

Quality settings

85–92% is visually lossless for most artwork. Below 75% you will see blocky artefacts around sharp edges and text.

Questions

How do I convert SVG to JPG on Windows or Mac without software?

Use this page: drop the SVG, pick width, background and quality, and download. It runs in any modern browser, including on phones, so nothing needs installing.

What size should my JPG be?

Match where it will be shown: 1200 px wide for social posts and blogs, 2× the displayed size for retina screens, and inches × 300 for print. Switch to Print size to enter inches or cm with DPI directly.

Why is my JPG background black?

JPEG cannot store transparency. Some converters fill transparent areas with black; SVGShift fills them with the background colour you pick, white by default.

Is JPEG the same as JPG?

Yes, identical format. The download uses the .jpg extension.

Can I convert several SVGs to JPG at once?

Yes, use the batch converter: drop a folder’s worth of SVGs and download a ZIP.
