SVGShift is built with privacy as a core principle. We process all file conversions locally in your browser, ensuring your files never leave your device.

Data Collection

What we collect:

• Anonymous analytics data (page views, conversion types) via Ahrefs Analytics
• Local browser storage for your conversion history (stays on your device)
• User preferences (theme, default settings) in localStorage

What we DO NOT collect:

• Your uploaded files (processed 100% client-side)
• Personal information
• IP addresses or identifying information
• Cookies for tracking

AI Features

When you use AI-powered vectorization features, your image is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI via Vercel AI Gateway) for processing. This data is:

• Processed ephemerally (not stored)
• Transmitted over secure HTTPS connections
• Never used for training AI models
• Deleted immediately after processing

Browser Storage

We use IndexedDB and localStorage to store your conversion history locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Ahrefs Analytics: Anonymous website analytics
• Vercel: Hosting and edge network
• OpenAI (via Vercel AI Gateway): AI-powered vectorization (optional feature only)

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Clear all local data at any time via browser settings
• Use all core features without providing any personal information
• Opt out of analytics by using browser extensions or privacy settings

Data Retention

Zero retention policy: We do not store any of your files on our servers. All conversions happen in your browser, and results are saved directly to your device.
